Lately, I watched, for the second time around, the
Disney-Pixar animated film Madagascar. It sure was a funny movie that stars talking penguins, lion, giraffe and so much more. The background for the film looks pretty ordinary as a typical jungle. But, then after some time, I came to realize why it is entitled Madagascar.
For the most part, the country is not new to me. I view it as one of the most fascinating, yet dangerous jungle-forests in the world. It is situated somewhere in the African continent, and to my amazement, this island holds the fourth place as the largest in the world. I happen to grab the almost crumpled old world map on my study table. I studied, fancifully, the location of the island. According to the map, the island is positioned in a strategic area near Mozambique and occupies 587,040 square kilometers of forest land and water area. It is also rich with different species of animals and
rare flowers. The climate there is almost tolerable. But, to my surprise, it is revealed to be visited by cyclones.
Well, just like other countries,
Madagascar Island has been already explored. Unfortunately, it suffers contaminated waters and some of its species are already endangered. I remembered once more the tragedy and poverty that came to Africa shown by the National Geographic. As far as I could remember, its people almost starved because of the environmental issues, it faced years before. But, the peoples of Africa, most of the indigenous, and are already educated, look forward alleviating the situation and helping their fellow men survive the catastrophe as its population rise to a staggering 18,000,000. Meanwhile, the Republican government of Madagascar is already on the move to raise the economy and social stability of the country.
Do you have the slightest idea as to where the giant kingfish could be found? Where else, but in South African islands. It was there that I experienced tugging with the strength of this big fish. Call them kings if you like. They really are hard to catch.
