Napoleon stayed in Elba for only nine months and twenty-one days before returning to mainland Europe to reclaim his throne. Elba is an island in Tuscany, Italy which is located about 20 km from Grosseto and located in the coordinates of 42 degrees and 44 minutes north and ten degrees and 22 minutes east.
