In the heart of Europe lies the
small landlocked country of Austria, bordered by the Czech Republic, Germany, Slovenia, Hungary, Italy and Switzerland. Since 1995 Austria has been a member of the
European Union and is now holding the presidential seat the first half of 2006.
In Austria the climate is constantly cold and humid. This is because it is predominantly occupied by the
