Beach fans can finally enjoy the hot summer sun of India in the
state of Kerala. Oh, you probably are surprised about that fact. Kerala is not just a showcase of Hindu temples, but a beautiful paradise that houses beach resorts with clear waters and exceptional natural beauty.
Although Kerala is a mere 38,863 square kilometers piece of land, it is made up of fifty-four municipalities. If we look at the map, the state is a strip of manor land sandwiched between two great bodies of water -
Western Ghats and Arabian Sea. This location on the Indian territories provides Kerala with hot and humid weather almost all throughout the year. No wonder the beach resorts that lie on its coasts are arrayed with coconuts and palms.
Just like its neighboring Indian states, Kerala is the place to be for people who are interested in India's heritage. Aside from the towering temples and historical monuments that are ubiquitous in the state's capital, the amalgamation of diver's religions is also very apparent in Kerala. If I'm not mistaken, Kerala has the highest literacy rate in India. No wonder more and more excursionist vie for an exciting and educational trip to Kerala. True, the state might be a dot in the Indian sub-continent, but it is a treasure island.
